What Necklace Goes With Your Neckline?

Have you ever wondered what jewelry goes with what outfit? I don’t have a ton of jewelry but I have some and sometimes I wonder if I’m even wearing it right with the right shirt or pants. Here are some key tips to help match your neckline with those pretty bobbles you wear.

Ralph Lauren - Sweaters Turtleneck

Turtleneck – longer pendants and necklaces

Sweaters Turtleneck – perfect for longer pendants and necklaces. They are even great for wrap around belts. You can usually get away with wearing not just one either, but layered long necklaces to add to the outfit.

Sahalie - Women's Best/Better Crewneck Sweater

Crewneck – collar necklaces

Crewneck collars are great for shorter necklaces that have some chunk to them. I love a great Crewneck Sweater and finding the right chunky or thicker necklace is super easy

AeraVida - Breathtaking Turquoise Pearl Crystal Collar Necklace

Lock Technology - LL Women's Scoop Neck Trapeze Tunic XXL DARK_PURPLE

Scoop Neck

Another type of neckline is a scoop neck, not quite a v but close. I love wearing dresses that have this neckline. Scoop Neck Dresses are elegant in style like this dark purple example.

The Limited - Short Faceted Gemstone Necklace Black NS

Short Faceted Gemstone Necklace

The Limited – Short Faceted Gemstone Necklace Black is the perfect match for a scoop neckline. Not too chunky but adding just the right touch of class to make any dress, blouse, shirt or sweater with scoop neckline noticeable.

That short faceted gemstone necklace is incredible, and would go with so many shirts I own. I somehow have mostly scoop neck or v-neck shirts in my wardrobe. Thanks for sharing the link to it so that I don’t have to search the internet for something similar!

I agree that pearls are a good type of necklace bead to go along with turtle neck shirts. Over the years, my mom and wife have worn pearls from time to time. As a result, I would have to say pearls have grown to be among my favorite. Looking back, I would like to have seen other types of beads worn by them, as well.

Oh, this type of question sure is something that even my wife asks so many times. Well, during this month that’s filled with holiday parties she enjoys showing off the jewelry that I buy her. I usually tend to treat her with a couple of new necklaces and bracelets that she likes.

Buying jewelry is scarily easy, but finding the right outfit to wear with your bling can be somewhat difficult at times. I love jewelry and fashion, but combining them can be tricky. This guide you shared about what necklaces go with which necklines should make my getting ready for parties and nights out much easier. I wear scoop necks quite often, so I will be sure to buy a slightly longer necklace to match. Thank you for the wonderful fashion advice.

Thanks for all of the tips on what necklace goes with what neckline. I always have a hard time pairing my necklaces with the shirts that I wear, so it’s nice that you put up a guide so I can be more educated with my choices! I especially liked your suggestion to wear shorter, chunky necklaces with crew necklines. I love shorter necklaces, however, I never know what to wear with them. Knowing that they go best with a crew neck sweater or shirt definitely opens up my options and makes me more willing to buy and wear these types of necklaces!
