It never ceases to surprise me how many little hidden gems there are out here in the Fraser Valley. When it comes to eating, hubs and I are always on the look out for a great place with good food, pricing, environment and something close by. Well, such a hidden treasure exists in Tony’s Place Restaurant located on 31120 Peardonville Road in Abbotsford.
When I first heard of Tony’s it was by my parents who happened upon it while searching out a quick stop for lunch. Like me, my folks are very into little mom and pop diners. And that’s exactly what Tony’s Place Restaurant which has a slew of reviews on Trip Advisor is.
It’s a home away from home.
Tony is the owner. A man now in his 80’s who still comes to his cafe every day and has a wall of tribute to his family surrounding the daily specials. You can see from variety of pictures of his children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren that Tony love his place.
Serving up comfort food at its best, you can order pretty anything. From burgers to Veal cutlets, roast sandwiches, soups, salads, and even daily breakfast whenever you want. The food is delicious. The service always friendly, and the prices won’t break your bank with most meals even the entrees coming in under ten bucks.
Hubby and I don’t go out very often, but lately I find myself drawn to this place. Even for just a cup of coffee. It’s the perfect spot for an all night traveler looking to wind down and grab a quick bite to eat with hot food that is fresh, delivered quickly and tasty without all the grease.
Tony’s is exactly how you would picture an old fashioned diner with leather booths, tables and chairs. Get there early on a Sunday because the parking lot is always packed. And you’ll find regular patrons that have visiting this little gem for over 35 years.
So if you are in the mood for something delicious to eat. Visit Tony’s Place Restaurant. They open early and most nights close at 5 pm. Sunday’s they close at 3 pm. You won’t be disappointed!
