We love VH Sauces! Why you ask? Well to me it’s like Christmas in a bottle. I can go to my local store, choose a desired flavour for whatever dinner surprise I want to make, and VH makes it so darn easy with their array or recipes and sauces to try out. What busy mom on the go doesn’t love that?
We recently had an opportunity to check out some new VH sauces for a shoppertunity for #cbias (collective bias) and so we ventured to our local Walmart where I knew I would find what I was looking for. My goal was to make sweet and sour meatballs for dinner, to pour over a bed of rice with California veggies – YUM!
We got to Walmart around 4:30 in the afternoon. Not a bad time to go. It wasn’t extremely busy, which is always nice when shopping especially with the boys. They get so bored quickly when shopping for stuff. JJ helped me picked out the hamburger which is sold in chubs for $9 which gives you about 3.5 lbs of lean beef.
Next we wandered through the isles looking for VH Sauce. Our Walmart recently went through some renovations, so now we have more food, meat and poultry and more isles to choose from. The VH Sauce wasn’t in the Sauce Isle, it was over in the Asian Isle where you can find the soy sauce. And man was there a ton of VH to choose from!Sweet n Sour Meatballs
I found the Sweet n’ Sour Sauce and grabbed a bottle and then we headed to pick up some rice to complete our meal. Of course the boys couldn’t help themselves. We had to get some chips and a movie to watch for tonight, before heading to the cashier to pay for our items.
The line-ups weren’t bad. Our cashier rocked. He actually allowed Trace to go behind the counter and ring in our items. Trace was so thrilled! He looked super cute, too. We took our stuff and headed home so I could begin making dinner before hockey.
