Start Your Morning with Weetabix


If there is one thing I enjoy in the morning it’s a hearty breakfast, but I don’t always have the time. Between waking the rug-rat for school, making his lunch and getting things going in the morning. Sometimes I forget to eat. And unlike the other family members of the Shaw household, I absolutely love my nutrients, whole grains, wheat, yogurt anything tasty and fresh. So I was completely up for taking the Weetabix #MyBixMix Challenge  to jump start my breakfast drive in the morning.

As a kid growing up I used to eat Weetabix all the time with cold milk or mixed with hot milk on a cold Prince George day after hockey. I’ve never tried eating it with anything else. But with the help of two boxes of Weetabix and a grocery card to purchase what I needed for the challenge, I took the #MyBixMix to the next level.

One of the things I loved most about this challenge and eating Weetabix was I had wayyyyyy more energy in the morning. Usually, I’m ready for a nap by mid-morning due to my brain injury. I get tired quickly, but eating a high fibre cereal richly topped with whatever I wanted made mornings easier to handle.

This morning on day five I decided to try something really different and went with fruit cocktail mixed with Weetabix with strawberry yogurt and just a touch of milk. Ohhhhhhh sooooooooooo GOOD!
