Spokes Air Puffed Potatoes Makes Movie Nights More Snackable

It’s  hard to find a good, snack alternative that is healthy for you without compromising taste. I don’t know about you but I hate trying new snacks that say healthy because usually, they don’t taste great. Flavor and cost are also an issue. But Left Field Foods in Calgary, Alberta has launched a natural and simple, delicious snack I just know you are going to love, called SPOKES air-puffed potato snacks.

SPOKES are great because they fall in line with our North American Better-For-You (BFY) snack category, which we all know is a category that is growing rapidly because as consumers we want simple ingredients without all the crap and preservatives in them.

SPOKES are air-puffed potato snacks that are light and crispy with a crunch that is (never fried) oil-misted and seasoned for a deliciously clean taste experience. They may look a little odd in shape, but I think that’s what makes them so unique.  They aren’t a traditional potato chip, but a much healthier choice.

  • Gluten free
  • Non-GMO projected verified
  • Only 40 calories per cup
  • No artificial preservatives or colors
  • No trans fats
  • No cholesterol

SPOKES air-puffed snacks surprised me because they are free of 11 major allergens that affect people on a daily basis such as, dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, and eggs. This makes them the perfect snack for my son to take to school because they are also not only locally made but made in a total peanut-free facility, and they are available in nine different seasoned flavors giving everyone a variety of choice.

  • Sea Salt
  • Mango Habanero
  • Sea Salt & Vinegar
  • Barbecue
  • Dill Pickle
  • Fiesta Salsa
  • Sea Salted Caramel
  • Simply Bare

I can see a ton of more flavors being added as the company grows to provide us with more alternatives to snacking healthy. Maybe Siracha, Sour Cream & Onion, and something with Bacon because you aren’t truly Canadian unless there is bacon somewhere along the line.

“Created by a Canadian Mom who wanted a Better-For-You (BFY) snack for her family, SPOKES was born as a result of many years’ work refining product development and consumer research. We’re naturally curious and are always experimenting with new things. With an emphasis on wholesome, naturally simple ingredients and great taste, we set out to create a delicious snack the whole family can love. The new brand is quickly gaining traction with extremely positive consumer response so far, and for good reason,” says Dave Pullar, CEO of Left Field Foods.

As a mother myself, I have to say that I love that Dave and his team are so selective about the products they are making, listening to (us) as consumers and that it is the driving force behind what they do. That’s how it should always be as our families come first when it comes to what we choose to put in our bodies.
