I don’t know if you have heard Ed Sheeran’s song Perfect, or if you’ve listened to his collaboration with Beyonce on a song that set our hearts on fire he called Perfect Duet? Well, now just in time for the holidays Sheeran has teamed up with Italian singer Andrea Bocelli to re-release the most beautiful song I have ever heard called “Perfect Symphony” on his most recent album “Divide” which of course was nominated for a Grammy.
I’m not alone when watching the video which racked up 2 million views within the first two-hours it was uploaded. You will see why the song completely earns its name. The video is nothing short of something heartwarming and touching as the two men recorded the video in Bocelli’s home in Italy (of course).
The orchestrated version of the song allows you to close your eyes and be transported to a time of ease with love. I cannot get enough of the symphonic background with a mixture of harps, sitars, strings and of course both Bocelli’s and Sheeran’s mixture of voices which is truly amazing!
Ed starts us off with his soulful sound in English setting the tone, and then Andrea picks up for the second verse in Italian. The two then combine their voices singing the rest of the song in Italian.
Even if you don’t understand the language, the song in its simplicity allows you to feel the story it is trying to tell about a boy who is in love with a girl and the love he finds that is perfect in every way.
I don’t know about you guys but this one has been added to my Spotify list. I could listen to it again and again. There is something truly magical and yes even something that sparks the wonder of the holidays with the song’s performance from two of the greatest singers on the planet.
Tell me what you think? Do you love it or hate it?
