OPI Soft Shades Collection

With Summer on the horizon, I’m all for pops of color here and there. Bright red, oranges, yellow and even turquoise. On occasion though I prefer softer colors to set a unique and classic look. That’s why I’ve fallen in love with OPI Soft Shades Collection. Soft pastel colors that are rich in pigment and easy on the eyes, and causing quite the trend for fashion this spring!

When I first got my hands on these beautiful lacquers, I immediately thought of weddings. I love anything pearl colored, and these soft hues are true-to-bottle color and need only two to three coats to really shine. They of course glide on easy with OPI Pro-wide brush, and wear long – lasting. The shades are so subtle and elegant, I couldn’t wait to try them out. At first you may think okay they are just forms of beige, but these shades are all different and will surprise you with the different looks you can create.

Chiffon My Mind,   Petal Soft,   Put it in Neutral

Petal Soft is by far my favorite here. I love wearing it alone or mixing it up with another hue. It looks great overtop Put it in neutral, adding elegance and grace to your nails, much the way a french manicure does.

Act Your Beige,   This Silvers Mine,   Make Light of the Situation

These are some of my favorite shades to come out from OPI. They omit sophistication and class and everyone has complimented me on my nails so far using these beautiful shades. In the photo below I used Make Light of the Situation on the tips of my nails and then applied Petal Soft overtop. I just love the look!

Petal Soft has white flecks, cute daisy decals, and pink flecks. It’s sheer and very beautiful looking either alone or as a top coat with any of the other hues.

OPI Soft Shades Collection are romantic and perfect for an evening out or a lazy day at the beach. Another fav of mine Make Light of the Situation which is a silver with glitter in it. You can see flecks of blue which is cool.

The SoftShades Nail Lacquers ($11.50 CND retail) and can be found at professional salons, Sally’s or Shopper’s Drug Mart.
