Tea Tree Oil. You’ve heard of it before. I know that I have. Yet, it’s not something l would normally think to carry around with me in my handbag. Actress Megan Markle (set to become a royal) swears by the stuff.

Now I know it’s not because tea tree oil has some kind of beauty secret we all haven’t heard of. Or does it? I know Miss Markle doesn’t need any beauty help, though she is known as a ‘beauty product junkie’  the woman is drop-dead gorgeous. So what is all the fuss? Why is Tea Tree Oil and Essential for Meghan and millions of others?

Megan Markle soon to be Duchess with Prince Harry.

Here is what I know about tea tree oil. It’s of course, a natural remedy. In fact, the Aussies absolutely love it and you can apparently find it in almost every single medicine cabinet around the world. The oil has been known for being extremely helpful with beauty blemishes, but it doesn’t stop there.

Meghan did an interview in 2014 Allure Magazine and said, “The one thing I cannot live without when I’m traveling is a small container of tea tree oil. It’s not the most glamorous thing, but if you get a cut, a mosquito bite, a small breakout, no matter what it is, it’s my little cure-all.”

For 40 years, Thursday Plantation has been engaging people in the restorative power of natural oils. Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil is 100% pure and natural and they have a range of product known for minimizing blemishes, something I get now that I’m in my 40’s (what joy!) though I never thought of trying tea tree oil to help recover my skin.

I will be honest, I had no idea the uses for tea tree oil were so extensive. I can’t believe half the stuff on the list this mighty little oil can be used for. Did you know you can use tea tree oil in your hair to remove dandruff and help dryness?

I have used tea tree oil in my hair for years for this reason, to help keep the dryness at bay and keep the bounce and shine alive in my hair, but I had no idea the many other benefits the miracle bottle of oil could provide. You can even use it as a make-up remover for your skin. Now you have to love that!

I don’t know about you, but maybe Miss Markle is on to something.

Have you ever used tea tree oil? If so, what have you used it for?
