Did you know that cats have an International day to which they celebrate being cats? Yeah, us either, but hey we think our feline friends deserve it.

How to Make Sure Your Cat is Living The Lap of Luxury

I love my kitty, Oreo (above photo) He’s my big fluffy farm ball of love and honestly it’s sickening how he’s living in the lap of luxury — or at least getting his treats on and playtime.

Kitty Playtime

Regular playtime is important for cats. Giving them a stimulating environment translates into a happy, healthy kitty. You don’t need toys to keep them busy. Regular ole’ household items work. Your cat will find things to play with, boxes, toilet paper holders, paper, and a million other things.

Kitty drugs rather known as catnip is something my cat goes crazy for. I mean absolutely, over the top, needing feline drug treatment kinda of crazy. He’s all rubbing himself into furniture, biting the wall, chasing stuff that’s not even there. And although I should be concerned he’s meowing at the moon, apparently catnip is good for him. So just call me his pusher!

Keeping Clean

Nobody likes to poop in a dirty toilet. Well, cats are the same. Oreo goes ape if his kitty litter box has even a pebble of something nasty. So we always make sure he has enough litter and that it’s cleaned often. Some buy crystals, some clumping, some scented. We use Arm & Hammer ™ Clump & Seal™ Lightweight litter โ€“ itโ€™s half the weight and doesn’t make my house smell like an animal wasteland. Plus Oreo can dig to China if he wants.

Strange Kitty

Ever notice your feline fur baby sleeping in strangest places? Or sleeping in the strangest of ways? Oreo loves sleeping on newspaper, top of the closet, not even sure how he gets up there. We find him inside our Lazy Susan and sometimes even in the bathtub with the curtain closed. It’s like he’s hiding from bad guys or something. But that’s okay we let him. He is king after all.

Kitty Kings of the Castle

The roof is my cats watch tower. Cats love to perch. We bought a large cat tree/scratch post when Oreo was a kitten so he can sit and look down upon us humans. It’s like he’s saying bow humans! BOW!

Cat Love

No matter what kind of luxury we give our cats, they bring it back. Whether it’s kisses on our lips or rubs up against our legs or snuggles on the sofa. Our fur babies are worth living in the lap of luxury don’t you think?

How do you pamper your feline? What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever done for your cat for love? Chime in and tell us.

We have two cats and they are both spoiled! They have lots to climb on, fancy scratch posts and lots of toys! Love the Arm & Hammer Litter!

I do too love how it smells. I used to use the baking soda and just put it in but now it’s cool they have the litter and no more smell. People come in and can’t even tell we have a cat.
