I love summer because it means I have some time to do some DIY projects and crafts. And this week I’ve been focusing on ways I can showcase all my Instax photos I’ve been taking using my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Camera.
I absolutely love reusing old materials to make something new. So I decided to grab this hack off Pinterest (too many authors) to name and try it out, using an old cartridge to make a DIY frame for one of my photos.
You start with an empty Instax Mini 8 Camera Cartridge and paint it whatever color you want. I painted mine white. I picked white so the colors I used showed up better.
Next you need a photo you took using your Instax Camera. I picked one of my gf’s daughter. That’s Rachel in the photo taking a photo of me using her Instax Camera she got for Christmas.
Pick your bling. I picked up some gem stickers from the dollar-store. I also got the Acrylic white paint and cheap brushes, too! Once the paint is dry add your bling along the edges around the framed center. Then pop in your photo and boom! Instant photo frame which you created.
The gems add super cutest to the used cartridge painted and you can swap out your Instax mini photos for anyone you want, changing them whenever. I love this idea as a DIY project which is super cute, easy and cheap to accomplish.
Instax by Fujifilm has a variety of Mini 8 Camera products and accessories that are to die for! I’m just loving their new built in frames surrounding the photos I take.
