Canon Rebel SL1: Our Furbabies

Welcome to PART TWO of my summer series with my amazing new camera I just got — the Canon Rebel EOS SL1. It’s the first lightweight, smallest DSLR camera in the world and worth every second you spend with it. In the first part of my series I took some family photos that were tons of fun and played around with the camera a bit. For this part of the series I’m going to share a little ANIMAL LOVE with our fur babies and friends.

You have no idea how important it is for me to capture the moments I want when I want.  When it comes to investing in a good camera, shopping around is important. The Canon Rebel EOS SL1 from Staples is on for $599. When you compare that to having photos developed, using your phone, hiring a photographer, it’s better to invest in something smart to help capture the memories you want.

Animal Love with the Canon Rebel EOS SL1

Miss Rosie

Miss Rosie It’s hot outside You looking at me?

I used the basic creative auto filter on the camera which is easy and straight out of the box. It allows the subject to be your main target with backgrounds being blurred out. So you can capture those intimate details of the person, animals or thing you want. I love how it detects whether flash should or shouldn’t be used, and still allows for quick capture so you don’t miss those furry faces.

Our Morkie Harley

So sad Shhhhh sleeping I want out

For Harley he doesn’t like his picture taken. He moves around a lot! So I used the sports feature, allowing you capture easy moving targets. With my phone I got tired of having to take a million pictures just to capture one of his face. With my Canon Rebel it’s much easier now with quick shot and zoom, so I can get him wherever and whenever, the shot I want of my fur baby.

Miss Cassandra

Aww pretty lady! What a beautiful face! Pure love between these two

Cassandra is our neighbors dog. She is so beautiful. In the second shot above you can actually see the blindness in her eye. She is 17 years old. Talk about capturing details. For these shots I once again used the Creative Auto feature.

Finishing Up

Taking up close and personal, or far away shots of the ones you love has never been easier with the Canon Rebel. I love my camera, it’s now an extension of my day. I never have to go without those precious moments. And that is something worth investing in.

I wish to thank Staples Canada for helping me capture my summer moments with the Canon Rebel EOS SL1.  Please visit their website for more great products and information on this camera and various other cameras & accessories, back to school, office and house and home furniture and equipment to help make your life easier!

This camera looks great! I love all the features it has. Being light weight is very important! Great shots of your pups!

I was just discussing cameras with my sister. We’ve become so dependent on our camera phones, which aren’t all that bad. It’s still nice to have a real camera though! Great pictures in this post.
