5 Outstanding Reasons to Go on a Cruise

One thing on my bucket list is to take a cruise somewhere. I’ve always wanted to take a cruise with my husband. Sail off from one destination to the next, porting in different cities. It’s different from a traditional getaway. Many people wonder, why a cruise? Well here are 5 outstanding reasons why I think going on a cruise might be worth checking out.

1. Save money

Lots of people think a cruise vacation is super costly and they are limited to affording the luxury of enjoying one. But you can travel on a cruise while being on a budget. Many cruise destinations are actually cheaper than dry land vacations.

Last minute deals can be as low as $100 per day, which includes your meals and accommodations in a stateroom once aboard. You can enjoy nightly entertainment, on board facilities and you never have to reach for your wallet for these extra perks.

2. Several vacations in one

Only on a cruise ship can you visit several destinations in one trip and only have to pack once. That’s why taking a cruise is super convenient way to travel. Going on a cruise takes all the stress out of planning.

Whether you are island hopping in the Carribbean or exploring the cities of Europe, each morning you are fresh and ready to discover a new destination. You can forget itineraries and endless planning because everything is taken care of for you. That’s awesome!

3. So much more to do

Cruiseships are so much bigger and better than they were before. So that means that there is something for everyone aboard. If you like sports, there’s tennis, football, golf and even rock climbing.

If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere then indulge in a luxury spa, yoga classes or paint pottery. From casinos to cinemas, live shows, water parks to cooking classes. The facilities aboard a cruise ship leave you with choices of entertainment that are endless.

4. Meet new friends

If you enjoy the social side of travel, going on a cruise is the perfect opportunity to meet new people. In fact, a cruise ship offers the best opportunities to interact with such a diverse number of travelers at once. People from all walks of life and places around the world come together.

So whether you are sunbathing by the pool or taking an educational class, you will likely find yourself chatting with others. And who knows, you could make some lifelong friendships.

5. Tons of perks

Not only do cruise holidays offer value for your money, but you can enjoy the added perks before booking and while on vacation. Some cruise lines offer discounts for younger children, some even sail for free.

Aside from the all-inclusive servcies, you will also have access to hundreds of on-shore activities often offered at lower prices than if you booked a dry land vacation. That makes taking a cruise wonderful.

One day I will take going on a cruise off my bucket list. With so many perks, activities, saved money, beautiful staterooms and much more to experience and enjoy. I know it will be a memorable holiday.

Have you ever been on a cruise?

I’ve once been on a short cruise on the Mediterranean Sea, visiting Greece islands and Turkish resorts. For a 14 days trip we’ve paid together around 2500 euros. It wasn’t cheap, but we had all we luxuries that we’ve always wanted. And that was awesome.

We’ve could have gone for a more extended cruise going through Italy and Spain, but we wanted to stay around those Isles to have time to visit them all properly.

A Caribbean cruise would be quite expensive for us, going from Europe, but it’s surely a dream that we all have.

Wow yeah that can be expensive. A friend of mine just did a 14 day cruise from Vancouver to Medeterrian and it cost her $1100 CDN which is a great price and included all her air fair coming home from Paris plus meals.

Wow, that I a good price for a trip, quite low (since 1 euro is about 1.5 CND). But all depends on the conditions that she had on board πŸ™‚

Yes and it depends on season and deals they are offering to push certain cruises.
