Ohhhhhh it’s one of my favorite times of year! Yes Christmas is coming, but more than that it’s the season of watching movies. Lots and lots and lots of movies. Rudolph, Frosty, Jingle All The Way, Elf, A Wonderful Life, Home Alone, Christmas with the Kranks. Holiday movies are one of my favorite things to watch, and this month Netflix has some classics for you to enjoy!
Our Favorite Picks!
If you ask me of course, I cannot decide what my favorite holiday movie is because there are just so many. I can tell you why I love them. Christmas is the embodiment of love. I say Merry Christmas not Happy Holidays. I kiss my husband beneath the Mistletoe and I took my vows next to a Christmas tree lit up with twinkling lights. The spirit of the season lives in me all year long, and if it were up to me, I’d be celebrating Christmas each and every day.
Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas #1 Pick
I love the Grinch. Who doesn’t love the Grinch? The Grinch is your classic misinterpreted bad boy who learns the spirit of the holidays with the help of a little girl who teaches to not only believe in the power and magic of the season, but that he is good enough to belong and enjoy all that season has to give. His famous line on how many toys and gifts don’t come from a store is one of my favorites and Netflix is streaming right now.
Christmas With The Kranks #2 Pick
The Kranks are super Christmas freaks, but when their only daughter is leaving, Luther Krank and his wife decide to Skip Christmas – which is the original title of the novel. This movie is full of laughter starring Tim Allan & Jamie Lee Curtis plus an array of other stars. Watch as Luther (Grinchy himself) learns the spirit of the holidays and that no matter what you do you can’t leave Christmas behind.
Christmas Crush #3 Pick
Okay a bit cheesy and stacked full of Glee, this holiday movie is fun. Georgia is a girl who returns home to her high school reunion, teams up with her glee club besties (nasty girls who haven’t changed) and lies about her career all so she can travel back in time and rekindle things with an old flame. But what Georgia discovers is it’s okay to be who she is and love who she wants and that high school is over.
Now matter what you watch this holiday season on Netflix, make sure you enjoy yourself. Take some time to sit around the tree, make popcorn, grab the kids and enjoy just a few moments of laughter and fun!
Merry Christmas To All and To All … well you know the rest!
