Imagine going to work one day and discovering the person you gave your life savings to had been arrested by the FBI for fraud and everything you gave this person was now gone? I think I would want to take a lawn mower and turn that guy into fertilizer <—– (summer reference) you get what I mean. I would want to hurt him bad. Now, imagine that you are the guy who suggested everyone go to person to invest with. You would probably feel like a pile of horse dung.
That’s how Josh Kovaks (Ben Stiller) who has managed one of New York City’s most luxurious and well-secured residences felt when the condo’s most notorious resident Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda), is put under house arrest for theft of more than $2 billion from his investors — including Josh and his co-workers.
But Josh has a plan. Take a peek.
This movie has an all-star cast that brings together veterans and new actors with stylish comedy and a mixture of backgrounds that makes for one hilarious night of entertainment.
Determined to reclaim the money Shaw has taken from them, to aid a fellow coworker and basically stick it to the rich guy who thinks he’s untouchable, the crew at the Tower turn to one of my favorite all-time comedian’s Slide (Eddie Murphy) to help them break into Shaw’s home and find the money they think he’s hiding. About $20 million dollars worth.
But the money may not be where Josh thinks it is, and things may not quite go according to plan. You will laugh your arse off though and really enjoy watching this gang of penniless working stiffs do everything wrong to try to make things right.
Starring: Casey Affleck, Mathew Broderick, Alan Alda, Ben Stiller, Tea Leoni, Gabourey Sidibe, Michael Pena, and Judd Hirsch. Tower Heist is afternoon away where the little guy sticks it to the big guy in a sort of Robin Hood and band of misfits.
