I bet you thought you wandered down the rabbit hole. Didn’t you? Well. You didn’t. You are exactly in the right place. Rants n’ Rascals has changed. Well. Almost everything has changed. I have a new home. New Style. Now I’m just officially waiting for the url to take up residency right here. I hope you stick around and continue to read on why this change needed to be made.
That Was Then
When I started blogging in 2010, it was a way for me to connect to other parents who were raising a special needs child. My son was born three years prior, a traumatic birth. He sustained a brain injury known as cerebral palsy. This led to delays in thinking and motor function. As a caregiver to my husband who is a traumatic brain injury survivor, and dealing with own mental illness of bipolar disorder. You could say I needed an outlet to get through the day, and writing here and sharing my daily life was the lifeline I desperately appreciated back then.
This is Now!
Now my kids are all grown up. Well my son is 10 and thriving. My oldest is 18. And although the younger one actually loves blogging with me. My oldest deserves his own privacy in his life, and he doesn’t need mom taking photos every three seconds to share with the world.
My kids aren’t the only thing that has changed since I started blogging. My topics of conversation and what I’ve shared with all of you has changed over the years. I shifted from talking about my depression and family life to sharing products we love. So. After thinking long and hard about it, I decided I needed a new place to call home, something that can grow with me for years to come.
Welcome to Just Jodi Shaw
Hey, that’s me! I thought no better name than my own. Just Jodi focuses primarily on food, family + living today. You might wonder what living today means. It means living to the best of our ability, each and every day. We strive to be the best parents, friends, and people we can. Eating right. Living healthy. Taking care of ourselves. One single day at a time.
While I will still be sharing products with all of you. I am more picky and choosy about which products, putting more focus on family life, parenting tips, health issues and the products that are geared toward helping make life easier and more fun for all of us.
I want everyone to know how much I appreciate your support during this transition, and I truly hope you continue reading along as I embark on this new adventure.
