How Poise Impressa Has Women Covered For the Holidays #LiveWithoutLeaks #Win

This post was sponsored by Poise Impressa as part of an Ambassador Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary product to facilitate my review. (Giveaway below)

I had an opportunity this past week to give my slight leakage problems a run for their money. Okay more like my tidal waves of incontinence problems whenever I laugh, snicker, sneeze, move around or just sit. And I’m not alone. In fact, 49% of Canadian women are in the same boat I am.

I’ve also talked to you guys about Poise Impressa Bladder Supports and how great I think the concept of them are. Well now I want to share with you whether or not they actually worked for me.

3-sizes

Suffering from SUI (Stress Urinary Incontinence) isn’t fun. I have a hard time leaving the house, going out, visiting friends or attending blog events because I’m always afraid one cough and I’m going to soil my pants like a baby. I’m not kidding. Having to squeeze my legs so tight I can actually make a thigh master jealous just to stop the leaks, leaves me feeling embarrassed and completely depressed. I can’t even think about attending holiday parties or wearing that favorite black dress of mine.

Up until now woman have had no other option but to wear bladder control pads which often lead to infections. Or bladder leakage diaper products which are not always comfortable.

Poise Impressa Bladder Supports are over the counter which is great. And Poise offers a sizing kit for only $9.99 allowing you to try all three sizes, giving you the best fit possible. You can find them at any local retailer.

I started out with size one (the smallest) being that I’ve got a narrow passage and tampons have always felt extremely uncomfortable for me to wear. I wasn’t sure how Poise Impressa Bladder Supports were going to be different or if they would even fit right. Size one fit me perfect.

Using the Poise Impressa Bladder Supports was fairly simple with the unique applicator tip which resembles a tampon. I couldn’t really feel it. Moving around caused me no discomfort. But the real test came about an hour later when I got my first coughing fit. I was extremely surprised. No urine came out. No leakage. No pain. I almost couldn’t believe it.

I have to admit, I was a bit nervous not using my pads, and I felt slight pressure on my bladder the way you would if you used a tampon. Taking the support out was a bit trickier than putting it in, and it did cause some slight discomfort. But once I got the hang of it everything was a breeze. Poise Impressa Bladder Supports stopped my leaks before they started.

You should never wear Poise Impressa Bladder Supports for longer than 8 hours in a 24 hour period. I wore my first one for five hours. My second one the next day while going out in the evening I wore for the full 8. No more wet undies. No more holiday hiccups.

  1. Thanks for the opportunity!
Ever since having kids my bladder definitely isn’t what it used to be. Big sneezes or coughing results in leakage.

  2. No sure how I feel about accepting that fact that I need them (specially when I am not feeling well and have a bad cough) but, I am warming up to the idea now.. and considering using them..

  3. I didn’t know that they made this product but it makes sense. I would use it so that I don’t have to carry around or wear bulky pads. Good on you for bringing this issue to the forefront of our consciousness.

    Besos Sarah.

    1. My son had a rather larger head as well, though he wasn’t 9lbs. He was only 7lbs, but I’m small and his head gave me 36 stitches little brat. 9lbs ouch BobbiJo

  4. I have LBL due to nerve damage been dealing with this for over 20 yrs and I am always seeking proction products that work well and these I would love to try

  5. Since I completed chemo treatments this year I have been having issues with my bladder so Poise would definitely help out with this right now.

  6. I remember we used to playfully make fun of my mom when she would pee a little when she laughed or sneezed and now, unfortunately, I’m suffering the same fate.

  7. I don’t need them at this point but I know my sister has issues with this and has just been using the pads. Would be great to get some for her to try out. They sound like a better way of dealing with it.

  8. I actually have a family member who just went through surgery to try and help the embarrassing leaking situation. I know she could benefit.

  9. I don’t need them yet but my mom has had bladder control problems for years and I think she would benefit from trying these. For years she has just used maxi pads nice to see that the companies have changed to make products for people like her.

  10. Since I had my chemo years ago I have had problems holding it when I have to go pee so would be nice to try something new instead of pads.
